It is the third most common element found in the earth's crust. The metal has a combination of properties that make it useful in mechanical engineering, such as its low density and high corrosion resistance.

Is a good electrical conductor, is machined easily and is relatively inexpensive. It is bright white, with good optical properties and a high reflection of light and thermal radiation.

Applications and Uses:

The industrial use of aluminum exceeds that of any other metal except iron and steel.

  • Aluminum Metal: The pure aluminum is used principally in the manufacture of mirrors, both for domestic use for reflecting telescopes.
  • In transportation: As a structural material in aircraft, automobiles, tanks, bikes and superstructures of ships, in buildings.
  • Food Packaging: Aluminum foil, cans, tetrabick, etc...
  • Metalwork: doors, windows, locks, cabinets, etc..
  • Goods for Domestic Use: Kitchen utensils, tools, etc...

Due to their high chemical reactivity, aluminum is used as a finely powdered solid fuel rocket and space to increase the power of explosives.

The recycling of a material is the only option that exists for the environment and not see us not surrounded by piles of scrap and waste. Aluminum is 100% recyclable without loosing its qualities. The consolidated aluminum requires little energy.
